*We're still here!*

Well, it's only been 8 months since my last blog! Oops! But in my defense, we've been a little busy. Here is the shortened version of our last 8 months (a friend has borrowed our camera, so no new pics yet):

The company Brian works for practically shut down the Salt Lake facility. Fortunately for us, they love Brian (can't say I blame them!) and offered him a position in the corporate office. Unfortunately, the corporate office is in East Aurora, New York (just outside of Buffalo). They flew us out there in October so we could get acquainted with the town and make our decision. After much thought, we decided to move. Brian was still looking for jobs out here, but with the recent layoff of engineers at MOOG and other companies, it didn't look promising. We put the house up for sale and started preparing to move. Then he was offered not one, but two jobs! He accepted a position in Salt Lake and gave his two weeks notice to MOOG. The next day he got a call from the corporate office asking what it would take for him to stay with MOOG. He ended up with a position here in Salt Lake, a promotion, and a raise! Who turns a layoff into a promotion and a raise?! So we get to stay in Utah, at least for now!!

Shayla started kindergarten last fall. She's growing up too fast! It seems like just yesterday she was my little baby just learning how to walk. She loves school and is doing so well! She's exceeding in math. I had such a difficult time with math when I was younger and was so scared she would be too, but she is really really good! I couldn't be more proud of her. After her dance recital last summer, we put her in tumbling at Head Over Heals too. I love that place! She's so fun to watch. She absolutely loves tumbling and dance. She's also been playing soccer this spring. And when that's over she wants to take swimming lessons. This kid likes everything! I guess it's good though. Her dance/tumbling recital is coming up soon, I can't wait!

I started college last fall. I decided to change my major from health care to education so I have to practically start over, luck me. I guess that's why I kept putting it off. I'm hoping to be done in 3 years, but we'll see.

And, perhaps the biggest news of all, I'm pregnant! Well, I'm very pregnant now (32 weeks). We are having a little boy this time! Funny story about that-I was positive this one was a boy. When we went in to find out the sex, my doctor told us we were having a girl. I was sure he was wrong, but didn't want to sound like an idiot telling everyone that. Well, my next appointment was with the ultrasound tech. She, very causally, told me it was a boy. I knew it!! Brian wasn't with me for that appointment and it was a few days before Valentines day. She printed a picture of his "boyness" and tried to convince me to give it to Brian for Valentines day. I made it about 10 minutes after he got home to tell him. *lol* I suck at keep secrets like that!

It's going to be a very busy couple months! Shayla's kindergarten program and last day of school are next month. She's turning 6 in June and has her recital. And, she will have a new baby brother in the middle of June!

~Clinton City parade~

Shayla was in the Clinton City parade on July 18! She has been so excited all month. She takes dance and tumbling lessons from Head Over Heels, I LOVE this place! They are so great with the kids and Shayla looks forward to her classes there all week. I can't wait until she is doing back flips!! Here are a few of the pics from the parade. They were the LAST group to go so they had to wait down the street for an hour. They were so great though!

Yay Shayla!!! (She's the 5th from the left, in the sunglasses)

Much better pic of her!

Here's Brian and Papa Fillerup giving the kids high 5's. (He ended up
with candy instead! *lol*)

~Driggs~

Brian and I went to Driggs, Idaho over the 4th of July weekend to meet our new nephew Daniel! He is so stinkin' cute! We went up Thursday night with Brian's parents and sister, Carolyn. Maybe you didn't know I LOVE these people. I am so lucky to have such amazing in-laws!! :)

On Friday we went to Yellowstone (all the pic's I took are on Carolyn's camera. I'll post them when I get them from her). We were 5 minutes too late to see a grizzly bear, I was so upset. :( We did see more than enough "fallow's" to make up for it. We also got hailed on. I didn't know it hurt so bad to be stuck in the hail! OUCH!!

Saturday we went to the "parade" in Victor. That was....well it was. :) Then we went up to the ski resort (I forgot what it's called) to watch a bike race and ride the lift. Those dang ski lifts scare the h@ll out of me!! Stupid heights!!!

Sunday we went to church to see Daniel get blessed, and surprisingly the building is still standing!! :) Here are the few pic's I have on my camera. They are all from Sunday.

This is Daniel!

Carolyn and Daniel. She wasn't sharing. :)

One of my most favorite people in the world, Laura.

I don't think he could be cuter!

~ Shayla's 5th Birthday!~

I am so late posting this...................

Shayla turned 5 on June 8 (I can't believe my baby is 5!). We had her Supergirl birthday party the following Saturday. I had been planning this for so long, I reserved a bounce house and got all the decorations for to cover the backyard. I planned everything.....except for the rain!! I held out hope that it wouldn't rain but by Thursday I decided I needed to plan something else. I spent most the day calling around looking for a place to have her party. Lucky for us the Treehouse Museum had a group tour at 2:00, the exact time we were hoping for!

The Treehouse Museum so awesome! We are going to get Shayla a season pass there, I love it! After we played there we went back to our house for cupcakes, ice cream and presents. Here are some of the pics. Unfortunately the battery on my camera died at the Treehouse so I don't have many there. :(

Shayla's Supergirl Cupcakes!

Here is Shayla being silly.

She was so excited for her party that she fell asleep on the way!

Playing doctor. (Seriously this place is awesome!)

Checking on some x-rays and MRI's

Maybe she'll be a doctor one day.........

~Shayla's First Dance Recital~

Shayla had her very first dance recital tonight. She has been practicing so much over the past few months and she did such an amazing job!! She is such a talented little girl. Here are most of the pic's we took. I had to post them all, they are just too dang cute!

~Happy Birthday Colby!!~

Last weekend was my cousin Colby's birthday so we went to...I forget what it's called now!! Anywho, it was a lot of fun. My cousin Ryan even made it down! It was great! Here are a few pics of it. (On a sidenote, Facebook SUCKS! It won't let me post pics. :( )

~Our new addition!~

I have been wanting a little dog forever and Brian got me one! Her name is Hunsley (Shayla's awesome at naming our pets!!) or Huns for short. She is a shih tzu and I think she may have crack in her dog food!! She has far too much energy and is very paranoid! *lol* She is so sweet....unless you're Brian! For some reason she dislikes him and just growels at him, I think it's hilarious!! She loves the camera too. She was playing with her toys when I got out the camera and she dropped her toy, ran over to me and I swear she started posing! Here are some of the pics I took of her and, of course, Scribbles!!
